EARNEST — resilient nationwide energy transition

Grid resilience assessment under extreme events (DOE EARNEST, CURENT).

Role: Research Assistant  ·  Timeline: Aug. 2023 – Present

Part of An Equitable, Affordable and Resilient Nationwide Energy System Transition (EARNEST), with CURENT at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.

  • Developed an Nk contingency simulation and probabilistic scenario-reduction framework for distribution grids under extreme events.
  • Built a comprehensive steady-state and dynamic workflow for resilience assessment.
  • Implemented a Monte Carlo–driven K-Medoids scenario-clustering method to improve computational efficiency for resilience planning.
